It has been a staple our process to be prepared and ready before any deployment on customers’ networks. ESG recently had an install at a large Upper Michigan healthcare facility that serves as a great example of why we highly recommend installing an (i)View device.
The customer purchased a Mitel 3300 VoIP System with multiple applications included Unified Communicator Advanced , PrairieFyre Contact Center, among others. So far two locations have been installed without a hitch with seven more to go. These efficient and successful installs can be attributed to proper legwork ahead of time that includes the using (i)View to establish network readiness.
(i)View is a network monitoring and management tool that enables ESG to both proactively and reactively monitor the systems we install. In this case, we were able to test the WAN connection between sites, simulate traffic and make the necessary adjustments to ensure proper voice quality and know other data requirements wouldn’t be impacted.
“The customer saw the benefit because they know we weren’t just jumping off a cliff and hoping for the best,” said Jeff Weber, Vice President of Operations for ESG. “By simulating traffic ahead of time we knew the deployment would go flawlessly.”
Without running the assessment ahead of time there could have been major bandwidth issues that we would have had to deal with after the fact.
